The Okuma Avenger ABF 8000 Baitfeeder Spinning Reel gives bait anglers controlled free-spool function with the strength and line capacity needed for larger freshwater and saltwater presentations. Its baitfeeder system lets the spool disengage so bait can move naturally, helping fish take hold before the angler turns the handle and returns to the main drag system.
Baitfeeder Control for Live Bait Fishing
The rear On/Off bait feeding system includes secondary micro-adjustable drag control, so anglers can tune spool resistance for bait movement and current. This helps support common bait fishing methods for catfish, trout, surf, pier, bank, and inshore applications where controlled line release matters before the hook set.
Smooth Retrieve and Drag Support
A 6BB plus 1RB stainless steel bearing system supports smooth rotation, while the Quick Set anti-reverse roller bearing helps reduce back play during hook sets. The multi-disc Japanese oiled felt drag system and 26 lb max drag rating give the ABF 8000 practical stopping power for heavier presentations.
Built for Repeated Water Use
Okuma equips the Avenger ABF with a corrosion-resistant frame, sideplate, and rotor, a rigid metal handle to reduce flex, and a machined aluminum 2-tone anodized spool. CFR Cyclonic Flow Rotor technology and RESII computer-balanced rotor design support smoother, more stable operation across repeated fishing sessions.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
